How Telemundo Could Double Viewers

For years there has been a SAP (Secondary Audio Programming) button on all of our Asian made television sets. It has always been a bit of a nuisance. Inevitably the button would be pushed, maybe when we are searching for the remote between the couch cushions, and all of a sudden The Simpsons were oh so hiliarioso!

As a starving college student in Denver, I could barely afford the next six pack let alone cable. Therefore I was stuck watching the almost defunct bunny ears. The standard Americanizing network channels were a complemented with a handful of Christian channels and the Spanish offerings of Univision, Telemundo, and Azteca to round it out. My concern arises with the endless occasions that this Spanish offerings almost always featured great movies that I could not understand. Even with Three years of high school Spanish and closed captions turned on it was still tough to decipher an old faithful like Bloodsport. The worst was when Telemundo played both Kill Bill movies back to back.

If only Telemundo and the others would just include the original voices in the Secondary Audio Programing they could include all of us Spanish-itos in on the fun. This would mean more money for them. Think about it. I could not find the right person to email about this, but my hopes are that this movement catches it's own undercurrent.
